OctaFX Champion Demo Contest, Round 59: best strategies to win

It’s the end of a month, and it means it’s time to share the names of the winners of our Champion Demo Contest Round 59! This time, the prize fund of 1000 USD is shared between these traders:

• 1st place with the award of 500 USD goes to Ms. Rawsan Jamila from Bangladesh
• 2nd place with the award of 300 USD goes to Mr. Jin Hong Lu from China

1st place: Ms. Rawsan Jamila from Bangladesh

How do I feel being an OctaFX Champion? As simple as that: I’m happy! I’ve been participating in the contest for a long time, so I’m glad to win now. Contests are a great chance, so I’d be more than happy to do more. My success factor is: make the right thing at the right time. That’s it. That works for me better than any other ideas. My strategy is Fibonacci Retracement, I tend to apply only this one. My best gain was $7,080. This time, I didn’t encounter a large loss. My piece of advice for other traders would be: there’s no time limit to become a good trader. But I think it doesn’t take too long to reach success if proper education is one of the goals.

2nd place: Mr. Jin Hong Lu from China

I was trading, competing and hoping to win for the whole month, so I’m happy to finally get the results. Maybe I need more time to learn, but after that I’ll participate in the next rounds, by all means! My success factor here was… good luck, I think. I don’t have a specific strategy, I just open big positions.

3rd place: Mr. Sanusi from Indonesia

I didn’t spend a lot of time trading so it’s great to know I got a place in this round. I will surely take part in the future contests by OctaFX too. Key to my success is focus and calculation. I tried many strategies, but I can’t say which one works best for me. You can always get a few good insights here and there. Spend a year defining your very own strategy, and you are a good trader!

The last runner: Mr. Jon Tra Polta from Indonesia

I promise myself I’ll improve my performance to beat other participants. However, long term trading is not a good way of trading for me, so I’d better try other contests next time. I really like using Bollinger Band when trading, it’s my favorite strategy and I can totally recommend it.
