1ST PLACE: MD ABDUL AWAL RAFSUN FROM BANGLADESH
The moment I saw the mail that said I won the contest in the first place, I felt great. That is the first time I came first in a contest. Although it didn't consume all of my time, I frequently checked the prices and contest stats. It was a big patience test for me, as I waited for a good entry each time. I didn’t place a single trade in the last week of the contest, as I couldn't find a good entry for me to place a trade!
My strategy is purely technical analysis, which includes price patterns on the higher timeframe, Fibonacci retracements, Ichimoku cloud, support-resistance and MACD. I kept an eye on the fundamentals, mainly on the economic calendar.
Winning inspired me a lot to attend to future promotional contests. I have been studying and trading in the Forex market for two years, but I believe I have a lot to learn to become a consistently profitable trader. The more you watch the charts, the more your brain grasps. Finally patience is the key. I check the prices frequently, but I only place a trade when it seemed valid to me. Good luck for everyone.
2ND PLACE: AFREEN ROSHAN FROM PAKISTAN
It is amazing for me to win the contest, because I was thinking of becoming an OctaFX Champion for a long time. Unfortunately I didn’t get the first rank, but I will try again next time. I spent time on the contest only trading on the trend and news. First I trade the trend and then trade after the news with medium risk. My last trade USDJPY was lost with the touch of stop loss. But if I had selected a better range for stop loss then I would have been in first place.
I cannot miss any promotion from OctaFX, because they are very good. I have been a trader for two years now and I see myself as a good trader. I don’t have any unique strategy, I go along with the trend.
3RD PLACE: ROBI HARTONO FROM INDONESIA
I am very happy to take the third place in the contest. Although I didn’t spend a lot of time on the contest, the key factor of my success was market analysis and discipline. My best strategy is following candle patterns. In one year anyone can become a good trader. I will definitely participate in more OctaFX promotions.
