Helping Nigeria recover from severe flooding
According to Reuters data, the recent flood in Nigeria has affected over 1.4 million people and has taken the lives of hundreds. The natural catastrophe has caused severe damage to 82,035 houses across the country.
We have taken the initiative to help the people affected, particularly those in the damaged Anambra and Bayelsa regions. We have provided emergency flood relief by assisting 65 local farmers from three communities in Bayelsa, providing them with agricultural inputs to grow yams and cassava. Our team also renovated a school in Anambra State that had been damaged—education is vital for the people in Nigeria.
We are sure that corporate entities can play a significant role in addressing humanitarian crises. Our efforts will likely contribute to the faster recovery of the affected communities from the devastating effects of the flood.
