Our charity in Malaysia: free bootcamp for aspiring programmers

Last year, we teamed up with our long-time charity partner, Ideas International, to launch a free coding bootcamp STATUS 200. The general feedback from students and teachers was very positive and supportive. To build on this success, we decided to relaunch our free coding bootcamp in 2025. Bootcamp 2.0 will be held on campus in two stages between June and August and will become a career booster for aspiring programmers with little to no coding background. In 2024, twelve dedicated students completed the entire STATUS 200 course and acquired the coding skills equivalent to a junior software developer position. Most graduates immediately applied their new competencies to reinvent their careers. Several have engaged in paid development projects as freelancers or been offered internships in the field. One has even become a coding teacher! With Bootcamp 2.0, we aim to kick off even more success stories for our students. Our second Malaysian bootcamp reflects our vision of coding—just like trading—as a springboard for dedicated and passionate individuals in taking their future into their own hands.
