Supercharged 2: a journey worth taking

BMW X5 M, Lexus GS-F, Honda Civic Type R, as well as 36 top-notch smartphones and 36 brand new smartwatches have all found their happy owners as our year-long super contest is over.

For Firdaus Fawzi from Indonesia, the last 12 months were probably the most decisive in his life. He was able to win in four rounds and finished first in a yearly run. Let’s now hear from him, whether this was a happy time, or he was working so hard that he couldn’t even raise his head from charts.‘I still can't believe that I won the contest, this is surreal! I worked hard enough, but this didn't feel tiring because I was doing what I love, the thrill of trading and the sense of accomplishment when I follow the right price trend is exciting and addicting.’

Another important thing about the success of Firdaus Fawzi is his trading strategy. We asked him about his style and summarised it for you.

So the BMW winner is an experienced and confident trader who does not take many risks, though. He traded against the trend on short timeframes (within 1-2 days), placing small groups of trades. The most-traded instruments were GBPUSD, EURUSD, GBPJPY, XAUUSD. The risks were reduced by applying small order volumes—this minimised drawdowns when the market was becoming dangerously volatile.

Lexus DS-F went to Khajanur Kumar from India.

Honda Civic Type R went to Nining Baghel from Malaysia.

Thank you everyone who participated in Supercharged 2. This was a great year, and we were very happy to give away so many prizes and to have your emotions shared with us! We are now thinking about the next exciting event—stay tuned and have a great trading with OctaFX.
