OctaFX Champion Demo Contest, round 73: Forex trend is always your friend

Round 73 of the OctaFX Champion Demo Contest has finished.

The winners of the 73d Round of OctaFX Demo Contest expressed their feelings and thoughts on the last round and revealed the key factors in their success. Find out all their secrets in our interview below.

1ST PLACE: Ajmal Akbar FROM Pakistan

I found OctaFX contest on Google. After some trading, I can say that OctaFX platform is very good broker because its platform execution is very fast. I’m very glad that I won OctaFX contest.

I spent not all my time, but most of the time in the contest and what I like to do is I follow the trend, because in Forex trend is always your friend. Also, I always use my own technical analysis, risk management and fundamentals.

I will try my level best to join all OctaFX promotions because I just like it.

I have to say, almost all my trades were successful, I didn`t have the point when I had lost much to a trade.

In my opinion, you need about 3 to 5 years to become a good trader, if you do full time trading. 

2ND PLACE: Oksana Konovalova FROM Uzbekistan

I feel extremely happy and I’m proud that I managed to become one of the best among such a large number of participants in the conditions of strong competition!

Now, after this victory, I feel confident in my abilities and think about participating in other competitions that you hold.

The key factor for my success is psychological attitude. Patience and perseverance. Towards the end of the tournament, I was playing catch-up. There were thoughts to make risky deals, but I restrained myself and achieved success!

The strategy was as follows. The first half of the contest used news trading to increase the deposit. The second half of the contest mainly traded support-resistance levels.

The most successful deals were on the fall of EUR in the first half of the contest. Then my deposit has increased enough to, in the future, move to a less risky trading style. There were only a couple of unsuccessful trades near the end of the tournament.

To become a good trader, you need to work hard for several years. You need analytical skills to understand the interrelationship of many emerging market factors, and also need to try to develop intuition, only with this in mind the best decisions will be made.

3RD PLACE: Ezman Muhammad FROM Malaysia

First of all, I would like to say thank you to OctaFX for providing satisfying platform for the traders to gain knowledge and strategies to Forex trading.

Unexpectedly this time I managed to be in the top group because I did not anticipate this decision. My real target was only to test how far is my understanding this time.

My trading strategy is analyzing in the morning and in the afternoon start trading. I might try to participate in the next contest to see how far I can go. My advice for other traders will be: Be patient. Wait for the opportunity. Don't rush.

There is the time that I need to look at the previous trading history. Loss does exist, what important is to take care of Money Management.

I trade in the contest because I want to improve my performance and try to beat the other participants.I have an advice for other traders: don't open any position when there's news because of high volatility.

My biggest profit during the contest was when there were NZD news, I got 50 pips.

In my trading strategy I use Fundamental analysis. I`ve been trading for2 years, I'm still not a good trader, I you need lots of time and hard work to become a successful trader.
