Empowering impoverished Nigerian children
We pride ourselves in our charitable efforts. But, giving you the tools to prosper goes beyond the world of Forex. We want to make a global impact on those most in need. So, we partnered with the 'Dukes of Spades' foundation in Nigeria this time around.
The 'Duke of Spades' foundation is a nonprofit launched to assist underprivileged children and children born and living with HIV. The foundation has done work in several other countries as well, including Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, and Kenya.
To help the Duke of Spades achieve their goals, we decided to come to their aid. We donated much-needed IT equipment for children between 10 and 14. The goal is to give these bright young minds the tools to prosper and empower Nigeria's next generation.
In total, we donated 20 new desktop computers, along with several scanners and printers, to Kuramo College. The idea is for these computers to strengthen students in computer science, a fast-growing sphere that can reshape the globe.
Philanthropist Richard Nnadi, who founded the Duke of Spades, has a simple but powerful motto that reads ‘living is giving’. That is why his organisation has expanded to Nigeria. However, while their staff is adequate, it's undersized. So, that's why we are so eager to support this local initiative.
Previously, we donated 1,200 books to impoverished children in Abuja, Ibadan, Lagos, and Port Harcourt. We believe that these books and the 20 new desktop computers will strengthen the hope and confidence our young generation needs to flourish.
We are glad to have partnered with such an ambitious foundation as the Duke of Spades to help make the dreams of young Nigerians come true. However, our work is not finished; it never will be. So stay tuned for more news on our latest charitable endeavours.
