Carrying out three charity projects in Nigeria in celebration of Ramadan

This year, we teamed up with a humanitarian organisation called Keeping It Real (KIR) Foundation to cover three educational charities during Ramadan festivities in Nigeria:

  • 300 children received educational supplies, including writing materials, dictionaries, and school bags. Due to economic turmoil, many Nigerian families can't afford basic school fees, let alone buy educational supplies. Our help enabled KIR to purchase these materials for the children—advancing and upholding quality education.

  • 25 youths acquired tech skills as part of a training programme organised by Octa for unemployed or underemployed younger citizens. The training courses included cybersecurity, digital marketing, data science, and graphic design. With the acquired skills, participants have a better chance of succeeding in their future careers.

  • Yet another ‘Reading Corner’ was installed in a Nigerian school. ‘Reading Corners’ are a series of miniature libraries set up at public primary schools to help children develop a lifelong love for reading. Over the years, 24 of these facilities have already been set up by the KIR Foundation and Octa.
