Educational supplies donation to children in Nigeria
We cooperated with the Keeping it Real (KIR) Foundation on a ‘Back to School' project for last year's World Children's Day. The project aimed to provide underserved children in twenty-nine public schools in Nigeria with educational supplies.
Overall, we equipped 250 pupils with basic educational supplies they previously lacked, helping them to go back to school. Each set of supplies included a backpack, a dictionary, writing materials, and twelve exercise books.
Ambrose Ebuka, our brand ambassador in Nigeria, also participated in this charitable initiative and visited Morning Dew Nursery and Primary School in Lagos on November 19, 2022. 'I was able to connect with the kids in two schools. I read with them, and after that, we had a small interactive session to test their knowledge. Overall, it was a great experience for the kids and me, and I hope to see them again soon,' Ebuka said.
We previously worked with KIR Foundation on the 'Reading Corners' project, providing underprivileged schools in Nigeria with 150 books each. Having seen the need for further assistance, we were happy to join forces with KIR again.
Education is one of our company’s fundamental values, and we will keep supporting communities in our regions of presence with further projects like 'Back to School'.
