Emergency response to earthquake in Indonesia
On 21 November 2022, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 in Cianjur district of Indonesia left 58,362 people hurt and displaced. On 3–4 December, we provided humanitarian aid for affected families with the help of our local partner in response to this catastrophe.
Volunteers handed out essentials: blankets, diapers, sanitary napkins, instant noodles, mineral water, rice, baby formula, and biscuits enough for at least one hundred families. Our partner also provided entertainment activities for children traumatised during the disaster.
‘Our help will bring their smiles back’ (Indonesian: ‘Uluran Tangan Kita Membuka Senyum Mereka Kembali’) is the slogan of this emergency response program. We are grateful to our partner for their active role in disaster recovery and looking forward to future cooperation.
