Providing water purification plants to rural Indian schools

This New Year, we have teamed up with Community Action for Rural Development (CARD) to provide safe drinking water to underprivileged students in Tamil Nadu, India. We have sponsored the construction of two 500-litre water purification plants in the Karankadu village, which were installed in January.

Filtration facilities will ensure that water from local wells is safe to drink by removing impurities and contaminants. In total, 451 children will benefit from the plants installed at primary and higher secondary schools.

Drinking fresh and safe water will make students healthier and more productive and improve their academic experience. Some parts of India face a severe lack of access to pure water, and we are committed to improving the lives of the communities we operate in.
