1ST PLACE: DERMAWAN KARAMOY FROM INDONESIA

I am very happy and satisfied to win the OctaFX Champion Contest. Although I did not spend all the time trading in the contest, I did check on it every day.

Now that I`ve won, it's time for me to show my trading performance by following or participating in other promotions.

Regarding trading I would advise all the traders to be patient, don`t rush and always be careful when you open position. My strategy is to follow the candle pattern and I feel confident about my technique. I am not planning to switch to other strategy for now.

Winning the contest was a huge success for me, but during the contest I've also lost 100$ and got a Margin Call.

In my opinion you need at least 2 years to become a good trader.

2ND PLACE: YAPING ZHANG FROM CHINA

It is so wonderful to win in the current round, it´s a great pleasure. The contest which OctaFX organized was excellent. The success in the demo account contest encouraged me to trade on the real account.

I was spending most of my time trading in the contest, regardless of the time of the day, I traded day and night. Now I surely want to participate in other contests organized by OctaFX.

My advice to be a successful trader is to stay focused. I think I am doing better than others because I spend more time on trading than others.

I think, to become a great trader you need at least 3 years.

3RD PLACE: ADIT PRIYADI FROM INDONESIA

This is incredible, my best result during the OctaFX Demo Contest. I`m proud and became more enthusiastic to start forex Trading with OctaFX.

I focused on trading in my Demo account, rather than the real account during the contest, but I did not spend a lot of time trading. I have already joined the next round of the contest. I will fight for the next period to get a better ranking, maybe 2nd or even the 1st place! If there is another contest, then I will join it as well.

My trading advice is to be consistent, I tried to apply one trading strategy that I have and focus on it. Discipline in applying the rules. I recommend installing Take Profit and Stop Loss, so the balance will continue to grow from time to time.

My strategy is to apply Technical Analysis using Fibonacci Retracements, which is already available on MT4 Platform. I do not change it whatsoever and I open positions using the strategy.

If you want to know how much time you need to become a good trader, I think you can never reach perfection. I have not felt like a good trader, although I have known Forex for 3 years. I think the ability of each person is different. According to what I read, forex traders will reach the peak of their success after 12-13 years of practice.

I have learnt many things from this contest and next time I want to beat the other participants and be in the first place. I was trading after work and when I have free time

My most successful trades were on GBPUSD and EURUSD and my favorite trading tools are GBPUSD, EURUSD, USDCAD, USDJPY, AUDUSD.

I think you need more than 1 year to learn about Forex. But the most important thing is to never give up.
