US Defense Secretary Hegseth: Attempts to lay more mines is violation of ceasefire

United States Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Friday that any attempts to lay more mines by Iran would be considered a violation of the ceasefire, per Reuters.

Hegseth noted that the transit through the Strait of Hormuz is occurring and added that they would welcome a serious European effort to "do something about the strait."

Meanwhile, US stock index futures trade mixed ahead of the opening bell, with Dow Futures losing 0.1% and S&P 500 Futures rising about 0.4%.
