US President Trump: Iran in a state of collapse

In a post published on Truth Social on Tuesday, United States (US) President Donald Trump said that Iran has just informed them they are in a "stat of collapse."

"They want us to open the Hormuz Strait as soon as possible, as they try to figure out their leadership situation (Which I believe they will be able to do!)," he added.

Market reaction

These comments failed to trigger a noticeable market reaction. At the time of press, the US Dollar Index was up 0.25% on the day at 98.73.
