US 10-yr treasury yield hit 11-day low of 2.65 percent

  • Risk aversion boosts haven demand for treasuries.
  • 10-yr yield drops to 2.65 percent - hits lowest since Jan. 26.

The risk aversion in the global markets and the resulting rise in the haven demand for the treasuries pushed the yield on the 10-year note to 11-day low of 2.65 percent.

Meanwhile, the yield on the 2-year note fell to 1.947 percent. As of writing, the 10-yr is at 2.65 percent and the 2-yr is at 1.97 percent. The curve or the spread between the 10-yr and 2-yr stands at 68 basis points.
