US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 366K
According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 5K last week to a seasonally adjusted 366K in the week ended February 2, missing expectations at 360K and coming from 371K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 8K to a seasonally adjusted 3.22 million in the week ended January 26
The Non-farm Productivity contracted 2.0% in the Q4, vs. -1.4% expected and +2.9% previous.
The Unit Labour Costs rose 4.5% in the third quarter, up from 2.3% previous.
