Change in trading conditions due to early Japanese parliamentary elections

Please be aware that on 22 October 2017, early Japanese parliamentary elections will take place. Elections can cause drastic increases in volatility which can influence the availability of liquidity.

The margin requirements of the following instruments will be changed:

• On the MT4 and cTrader platforms, leverage will be reduced by 2.5 times for instruments containing JPY.
• On the MT5 platform, leverage will be reduced by 5 times for Nikkei 225 (JPN225).

These changes will affect all positions including orders already opened with the abovementioned instruments.

Please note: these changes can cause a significant increase in margin for already opened positions on JPY or Nikkei 225. Changes will be applied from 00:00 EEST on Friday 20 October 2017 until 00:00 EEST on Tuesday 24 October 2017.
